Daxue V. 1.
    Wahyu berkata : [Mendengar proses pengadilan, menurut saya membayangkan orang pula ,
zǐ yuē : [tīng sòng , wú yóu rén yě  .
子曰：「聽訟，吾猶人也。
    Seharusnya pula , belum mungkinkah menjadikan kebiasaan adanya suatu proses pengadilan ?]
bì yě , shǐ wú sòng hū ?]
必也，使無訟乎？」
    Belum memungkinkankah situasi orang2  , tidak akan berhasil lebih maju dirinya akan tertinggal ,
wú qíng zhě , bù dé jìn qí cí  ,
無情者，不得盡其辭，
    Kekhawatiran besar masyarakat pada kehendaknya .
dà wèi mín zhì .
大畏民志。
    Ini hanyalah menceritakan pengertian mendasar .
cǐ wèi zhī běn .
此謂知本。
PENGUPASAN
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
    Belum memungkinkankah dirinya (orang2) .
    The Master said, “In hearing litigations, I am like any other body. What is necessary is to cause the people to have no
    litigations.” So, those who are devoid of principle find it impossible to carry out their speeches, and a great awe would be
    struck into men's minds;— this is called knowing the root.
