Persoalan yang selalu menjadi pembicaraan masyarakat umum selamanya adalah dapat menikahkan anak perempuannya. Surat nikah merupakan suatu bukti kesetaraan diantara kedua pasangan (suami istri). Hidup bersama antara kedua pasangan yang tidak dilengkapi surat nikah merupakan suatu dosa. Karena itu Nabi Konghucu menyarankan kepada setiap orang tua, gunakanlah cara ini untuk menikahkan anak peremuannya.
